OUR HISTORY
Journey to excellant
Company was founded
1983
Merit Industries was established at Kamunting, Perak, Malaysia.
Built first manufacturing plant
1988
First manufacturing plant was built with 500 metric tonnes of capacity per month
Became a member of MPMA
1994
Joined Malaysian Plastic Manufacturer Associations, become oe of the committee member of Perak Branch
Expand into rubber packaging
1997
Merit heavily invest heavily in research and machineries to cater to Malaysian rubber industry packaging needs
Zarapak was established
2013
Zarapak was established to service international customers with a new 300 metric tonnes per month production line
Maxim Ten was established
2013
A new plant was built, increasing the monthly capacity up to 1200 metric tonnes
Medical packaging project
2015
Merit started medical packaging project through Zarapak, focusing on IVD related packaging needs
Merit Packaging
Rebrand and repositioning
2018
Maxim Ten was rebrand into Merit Packaging, venturing into beverage industry, specialized in collation shrink packing
ISO accredidated
2019
Merit Industries adopted the practice of ISO9001 to develop a lean production line
